On March 15, 1983 Riverside Forest Products, Inc. began doing business in North Augusta, South Carolina. Partners John Beach, John Sheffield, and Sam Collins had a vision of building one of the most trusted companies in the lumber business. They concentrated heavily on their relationships with suppliers and customers alike. The key to their success came from these relationships.

In August 1988, Riverside moved to an office in Augusta, Georgia where they remain. Growth necessitated building renovations on two occasions. A Branch opened in North Carolina in the years to come to expand market areas.

Over 35 years later, the 12-employee company's focus remains much the same. Riverside is guided by the principle of, "doing the right thing" in dealings with customers, suppliers, and each other.

The business model has changed little over the years. However, Riverside has concentrated on value added products in recent years. A strong affiliation with Wood Solutions & Reman, LLC in Trenton, SC, has helped Riverside expand its value added business.

With an eye toward change but grounded in our principles, we look toward a bright future with our ever-expanding group of customers, suppliers, and employees.
